ALUMNI ADMISSIONS PROGRAM
The university needs alumni support in recruiting good students from across the state, country and world. Alumni, serving as NU-AAP volunteers, connect with high school students who hold a wide range of academic interests; and prospective NU students receive personal attention when alumni get involved in the recruitment process.

ALUMNI AWARDS
By seeking out and offering recognition for stellar performances in the classroom, in the work place and/or in the community, the association plays a critical role in university advancement.

ALUMNI BOOK CLUB
Alumni members receive a 20 percent discount on University of Nebraska Press books. Each issue of Nebraska Magazine contains a special offering of UNP books, but the 20 percent discount applies to all UNP purchases year-round.

ALUMNI CHAPTERS
From game watch parties and golf scrambles, to scholarship programs and community service projects, 63 Nebraska Alumni Association chapters across the nation help keep local alumni connected to each other, their community and the University of Nebraska.

ALUMNI INTERNSHIPS
Committed to educating and training NU students, the alumni association offers internships to the university's best and brightest students. Students work an average of 15 hours per week on a variety of alumni projects.

ALUMNI RECORDS SERVICES
The Nebraska Alumni Association maintains a database of biographical information on alumni and friends for the University of Nebraska Board of Regents and in accordance with general expectations of the university community.

BREAKFAST FOR CHAMPIONS
The alumni association and the U.S. Olympic Committee join forces to recognize outstanding eighth graders from schools across Nebraska.The students receive special medals and the opportunity to meet and mingle with Olympians and Cornhusker athletic alumni.

CAREER NETWORK
The Nebraska Alumni Career Network links alumni and students to career opportunities and professional connections in every industry. With network members stationed across the country, the service provides the inside track to better jobs, business contacts and professional mentors.

CATHER CIRCLE
A new program with 75 charter alumni members, the Cather Circle develops leadership among talented female students at the university by networking them with outstanding alumni from a variety of backgrounds.

COMMUNICATIONS
Each year, alumni association members receive four issues of Nebraska Magazine, two issues of the GoodNUz tabloid, an Alumni Resource Guide and a subscription to their college alumni newsletter. In addition, the alumni association maintains a presence on the World Wide Web through a portal — zHuskers.com — and through a web site <www.unl.edu/alumni> that can be accessed from the portal.

CONSTITUENT SOCIETIES
All dues-paying members of the Nebraska Alumni Association receive a companion membership in the alumni association of the college from which they graduated — including Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, Architecture, Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Dentistry, Engineering & Technology, Fine & Performing Arts, Human Resources & Family Sciences, Journalism & Mass Communications, Law and Teachers College.

CORNHUSKER YEARBOOK
Under the sponsorship of the Nebraska Alumni Association and the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, the Cornhusker Yearbook reappeared on campus in 1999 after a 27-year hiatus. The association has committed funds and the services of a staff member as yearbook adviser so that the tradition can continue.

CORPORATE PROGRAM
The Nebraska Alumni Association's corporate relationship program recognizes companies according to their level of support for the association. Because of the corporate program, alumni receive special discounts on a wide variety of goods and services while supporting the association with their purchases. Products and services offered through the program include insurance, long distance service, a personal line of credit, a Nebraska VISA card, Big Red clothing, Nebraska food products and more.

FINALS STUDY HALL
During finals week each semester, the Wick Alumni Center is transformed into a quiet and comfortable study hall. Students are invited to bring their books and study supplies to prepare for finals while enjoying free snacks and beverages.

1874 SOCIETY
The Nebraska Alumni Association created the 1874 Society to provide the opportunity for alumni and friends of the association to demonstrate measurable support for the continuation of a strong alumni association representing the University of Nebraska.

HOMECOMING
The association's annual Come On Home celebration, held on the eve of the homecoming game, features free food, trolley tours of homecoming displays, live entertainment and plenty of Husker spirit.

HOMECOMING PIZZA PASS
During homecoming week, local alumni board Molley the Trolley to deliver pizza and pop to students who are building lawn displays for their residence halls, Greek houses and student organizations in preparation for Homecoming Saturday.

HONORS ALUMNI SOCIETY
Working closely with the University of Nebraska Honors Program and campus administration, the Nebraska Alumni Association is developing an online community for program alumni and current students, reuniting old friends, facilitating cultural outings for honors alumni, and assisting in recruitment of the next generation of honors students.

HUSKERS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION
A statewide network, Huskers for Higher Education raises public awareness on the importance of higher education to Nebraska's future. HHE educates NU alumni about issues facing higher education and teaches them to be creative and effective advocates on behalf of the university.

HUSKER HUDDLES.
Prior to both home football games and those on the road, the alumni association hosts Husker Huddles for Nebraska fans. Huddles feature food, entertainment, door prizes and Husker spirit.

LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
The Nebraska Alumni Association hosts an annual Volunteer Leadership Conference, providing chapter and college alumni leaders with helpful tips on event planning, leadership strategies and communicating with alumni.

NEBRASKA N-CLUB
Re-energized under the auspices of the Nebraska Alumni Association in 1998, the Nebraska N-Club now boasts a membership of more than 1,000 out of 3,800 eligible former Husker letterwinners.

OFFICIAL CLASS RING
The first "official" University of Nebraska class ring, designed by a student committee under the aegis of the alumni association, is available to current students who have attained at least junior standing; graduates also are eligible.

REUNIONS
The Nebraska Alumni Association sponsors an annual 50-year class reunion and works with other departments and organizations on specialty reunions. In addition, the college alumni groups host biennial football reunions for their graduates.

SCARLET & CREAM SINGERS
The university's ambassadors of song since 1973, the Scarlet & Cream Singers perform about 70 times a year for university functions, local businesses, students across the state and alumni across the country. The group features 16 singers, four band members and two technicians, all full-time university students.

SCHOLARSHIPS
The alumni association provides an annual scholarship to the student government president, a student interested in study abroad, and each Scarlet & Cream Singer. A number of constituent societies and alumni chapters also provide scholarships. In addition, a legacy factor has been added to the university's New Nebraskan Scholarships. Out-of-state students with at least a 23 ACT or a ranking in the top 50 percent of their high school class whose parents are alumni of the university can receive a $1,200 scholarship. Better scores and higher class rankings move students from this first tier to higher levels.

STUDENT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
SAA was organized in 1973 to promote interaction among students, faculty and alumni, and today includes approximately 80 student leaders from all areas of campus. Among the activities the group sponsors are homecoming, Distinguished Scholars Day, Master's Week and Senior Sendoff, a popular spring event for graduating NU seniors.The Nebraska Student Alumni Association is a member of the Student Alumni Association/Student Foundation International Network.

TOURIN' HUSKERS
With 50 trips per year, the Tourin' Huskers bring you everything from a Mississippi River Cruise to a look at the ancient wonders of southeast Asia. Whether you prefer snow-peaked mountains or sunny beaches, a quick cruise or a luxurious world tour, scientific exploration or historical sightseeing, the Tourin' Huskers have just the trip. For Husker faithful, the Nebraska Alumni Association offers football weekends and bowl trip packages.

WICK ALUMNI CENTER
The beautiful Milton I. Wick Alumni Center, located on the northwest corner of 16th and R Streets on the city campus, is home to the Nebraska Alumni Association. The three-story structure contains 30,000 square feet — an ideal location for alumni and university events, student gatherings, business meetings, seminars, banquets, wedding receptions and more.
